Cleaning time.

Hi

I just saw this video from Black Diamond.

It´s from the Clean-up project in Fontainebleau during Easter 2013.

Chasin’ the Rubbish 2.0 in Fontainebleau, France from Black Diamond Equipment on Vimeo.

I´m glad that our family could be a part of this project, beacause this is a great way to show some respect, and bring awareness to the fact that we should be careful about our environment. My girlfriend Rikke, make a very short appearance in this flim at 2:15 :-)

The people that make this Clean-up project happen are a whole bunch of cool guys, and I love the fact that you get to see them taking part and you would see living legends like Fred Nicole and Nalle going around the parking lot in Isatis, pickín´ up garabage, while our friend Neil (Hart) is filming everything that´s going on. The thing about them not being too cool and arrogant is so nice to see, like I mentioned in earlier post here on Schim Productions, I had several of pleasant conversation with Nalle. You would talk to him like he was a buddy of your own and show no signs of being bored talking to an averaged climber like myself, while he would kill a 8B Fontainebleau boulderproblem within 15 minutes time, now that´s cool and a very good role model for the sport in my book!

It´s so very different from the surfscene , at least how I have experienced it of the years that I´ve been surfing. The surf pro´s (and the ones that are better then yourself) seems to me, that they so much attitude and that makes it not to much fun to be around people like that, but that´s another story…

Allright, that´s it for tonight folks.

Ciao

P.s. It seems like we got ourself a gite at Neil´s place in Fontainebleau in september, more about that later on :-)

Summer 2011, Annot

Back in june/july of 2011, we were in sunny and hot Annot, in southern France.

Rikke was pregnant at the time, but we still went climbing almost everyday for the full month we were there. Some mornings, would we go for a run in the mountains, before heading back to our apartment that we had rented for the month. We would buy bread and Croissants at our little local bakery, just 1 min away from our apartment.

We would be spending our days in the forest, bouldering together with our french and danish friends.

Dina, Rasmus and little Vega, were on a few months climbing roadtrip around Europe this summer, so got to hang out with them for several of weeks in Annot, great fun :-)

With all this good climbing, good friends around, beautiful weather and a little baby girl (Alva) on the way, you could easily say that this was one of the best summers I´ve ever had :-)

The Annot video have also found its way to my Vimeo

Two more videos on Vimeo

I have got to more videos that have been uploaded on Vimeo.

Plus last year´s FontaineBleau video.

FontaineBleau 2012 from Schim Productions on Vimeo.

I still got a few more videos that I want to add to Vimeo, but my internet keeps on kicking me off, so therefore it might take some time before all my videos are up. I so wish that my internet was a bit more stabil and faster, but what can you do?

Adding more videos to Vimeo

I´m trying to get all of my movies that I´ve made in the past, up on my new account on Vimeo.

So far,I got 4 movies on Vimeo. I would have had more by this time, but our internet doesn´t have the fastest uploading speed though.

I have made to channels on my vimeo, one is “bouldering” and the other is “snowboarding”.

Here´s the first, and only one so far, on channel “snowboarding”

He still got it from Schim Productions on Vimeo.

Vimeo, from now on.

Hi there

This evening a got myself a channel on Vimeo.
So from now on, my movies will be uploaded to Vimeo, instead of Youtube.
The reason for me to switching over to Vimeo are that I find Vimeo be cleaner and have the benefit of no stupid ads popping up all the time.

You can find my Vimeo uploads on this link:

And here´s what the video looks like in Vimeo

Cloud Nine from Schim Productions on Vimeo.

Cloud Nine

I finally finished up cutting my latest movie, “Cloud Nine”

It contains some 6´s and 7´s from our trip to Fontainebleau this easter 2013.

It doesn´t have all the hard ascents that you might see in other climbing movies, but I think it shows some of the beautiful things there´s to climb in fantastic Fontainebleau.

I hope that you´ll enjoy watching it, and that it will give some some insperation for a trip to bleau :-)

Catch you guys later.

Fontainebleau,Easter 2013 Teaser

Hi

We got back to Tbilisi 3 days ago, after spending 15 great days in a pretty cold, but dry Fontainebleau.

It was great to be back in the forest again. We got the chance to climb with a lot of our good Danish friends, and all of them with kids, which was awesome for Alva :-)

Thank you Katrine, Jens, Oskar, Signe,Martin with kids, all the rest of you guys as well, for some fun times in fontainebleau :-)

Pascal, our French friend, who lives in Paris, came and joined us a few days as well, always so much to meet up and climb with him.

We bumped into Neil too. He was out filming for his upcoming movie/TV project. Along with him was Nalle, who was in the forest to help out with the Black Diamond clean-up event, and also to send some off his projects. I got to talk to him a few times on this trip, and I got to tell you that he seems like a very humble and great guy. I love it when you can be a pro climber and still have time to talk to a beginner like me :-). It was the same last time in september, when we got to climb with/next to Kilian Fischhuber and Anna Störh for almost a full day, also very friendly people, with a good vibe to both of them.

I can´t wait to go back. I hope that we maybe can get a week in september and then a full month next april/may, in this beautiful bouldering playground :-)

Here´s the trailer

The longer movie, will be here on www.schimproductions.com, as well as on my youtube channel.

Stay tuned.

Another first one

This little roadmovie is another test, and also another first one.

We had visitors over the last few days, and we went for a weekend trip to Kisiskhevi, Telavi, to the Schuchmann wineyard.

It takes about 1 hour and 45 mins to get there from Tbilisi. I beautiful trip over the mountains, which by this time of year had snow on them.

This time around I have used the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, for the very first time.

I got to say, that I really enjoyed working with this program, and I hope that I soon can master some more of the great stuff that you can do with the program.

FontaineBleau September 2012

Hello

On the 14th of September 2012 Rikke, Alva and I went to Laforét, Fontainebleau. We had 9 days there and it all turned out so well. At the airport we meet up with Bjørn Iisager, who was going to spend 4-5 days with us. We drove off to Buthiers area, where I had booked a gite for us at Neil Hart´s place. The estate that Neil got is beautiful and the gite´s are very nice. The next day we started our bouldering adventure in Buthiers Piscine and the weather was just great, as of all days we had in Fontainebleau, sunny and everything between 15-25 degrees and with good stick on the rocks. What more can you ask for?

We spendt one of the days at Franchard Sablons, and as it turned out we were the only ones there, just Alva, Rikke and myself (Bjørn had left the day before). While we were plugging away on some of the problems in the blue circuit, two very well-known faces showed up in Sablons. It was Anna Stöhr and Kilian Fischhuber. They were still in France after competing at the world championship i Bercy, just a few days earlier. We got to see them climb a few things that we also had been on and we go to talk to them as well. Very nice peolpe, especially Anna, who played a little with Alva :-). To my surprise, they weren´t directly flying up of the boulders, as a matter of fact, they seemed to struggle a little on even “easier” stuff like 7a´s wall. I guess that only means that they are humans just like the rest of us :-). It was great fun to see them climb and talk to them and I´m glad that they are still so open and easy to talk to even though they are “superstars” in the small world of competing climbing.

We also saw Jan Höjer a few times in the forest, and he was, as Anna and Kilian, also struggling on “easier” problems, like a 7b. Jan, who was in Rocklands a few months ago and totally killed it with 30+ ascents of 8a´s and above in just 3 weeks time!!To me that only confirms that the Laforét sometimes is hard on it´s grades and that you probably need loads of time on rocks and not just on plastic to conquer some of the problems, which is very good. So just go out there and have fun on the rocks :-)

Here´s a little video I made from our trip to FontaineBleau this time.

Enjoy :-)
